Belize - the Undiscovered Country

Welcome to the most laid back country in the world. A place close to the USA and Europe where there is no progress. There is no development. The people don't want development. There is some poverty here but the people see it as a tradeoff for keeping on living their laid back way of life. Workers? You have to find the Hispanic immigrants, most of them illegal. A store open when you want to buy something? It's run by the Chinese. Agriculture? Farming? The Mennonites do all the agriculture. What do the native Belizeans do? Well the women do work and the men, well life is paradise for them.

I guess that's why there are so many expats here. Life is easy. The language is English. The food is good and everyone has a good time. There are hundreds of species of birds to see. You can visit where the Ancient Mayan one ruled their world from. There is still a rain forest here. The tapir still lives here after 35 million years. And women do crafts, sing and it never gets cold. It's as close to perfect as you can get.

I spent four months here developing an ecotourism company called EcoParadise Belize. I worked as a consultant for a native Belizean with a little more energy than most. He is a farmer and also was involved in tours. So I developed some tours and put up a website for him. His name is Roy Gentle and he will take you anywhere in Belize you want to go.

I'll beposting photos and details of my trip on later blogs. Here's a couple of photos I will make available as T-shirts on Cafe Press this week.

I invite you to come to Belize and see for yourself. You can go to the website at http://www.satglobal.com for more information

Enjoy

Beautiful Belize is Waiting for you

Relax and Lose Your Stress and Laid Back Belize

There is no progress in Belize

Belize is not a developing country

The people of Belize don't want progress. They want their green paradise to stay exactly how it is,

i just came back from four months there working to develop an ecotourism company. The people even resist ecotourism through the economic downturn means they don't have any money. Getting them to work a full day is impossible unless you work with the Hispanics. The Chinese own all the stores because the natives just don't believe in working.

It's a beautiful and I developed a group of tours for those who want to go to an unspoiled place

I will be posting photos of my trip to Belize and information on how you can participate in keeping Belize green through volunteering as well.
